Product Description:
The ZK4511-0000/020-0200 motor cable is produced by Beckhoff as part of the ZK Motor Cables series. It is a ready-to-install assembly that routes power, sensor, and brake conductors between a servo drive and a synchronous motor inside automated equipment. By using factory-terminated connections, the cable reduces panel wiring time and helps prevent pinout errors on high-density circular connectors. This format also keeps the motor connection compact when several conductor groups must be carried through one routed cable.
The assembly is supplied in a length of 20.00 m, giving adequate reach for linear axes situated away from the control cabinet. A 17-pin configuration combines three power phases, a protective earth, auxiliary supply, and feedback pairs within one jacket. Its continuous current rating of 7 A suits motion axes that draw moderate power, and the insulation system supports a line potential of 125 V AC/DC. To limit emissions, braided and foil layers provide shielding coverage of ≥ 85%. An outer diameter of 7.6 mm ± 0.3 mm keeps bending forces low and allows installation through standard energy chains. The cable also supports operating potentials up to 30 V for encoder circuits without breakdown, which helps keep low-level feedback conductors isolated from the motor power lines.
Mechanical properties support repeated motion in cable-guided applications. The conductor set of 7 x 2 x 0.14 mm² + 2 x 0.5 mm² uses tinned copper strands to resist corrosion. An M23 female connector on one end and an M23 male connector on the other use the Speedtec® bayonet so the connection can be secured quickly. Contact paths remain below 5 mΩ, even after 500 mating cycles and torsional motion of ±30° per meter. Surge withstand capability reaches 2.0 kV, and the crimp termination technique helps keep conductor retention consistent during repeated flexing. Low contact resistance and shield continuity support stable transmission of motor power and feedback signals.
