Product Description:
The ZK4511-0000/020-0150 motor cable is produced by Beckhoff in the ZK Motor Cables series. It is a factory-terminated lead intended to connect a servo drive to its motor. Power, brake, and signal lines are carried in one sheath during machine automation tasks.
With a total length of 15.00 m, the cable reaches from panel-mounted drives to moving axes without intermediate junctions. Its bundled cores follow a 7 x 2 x 0.14 mm² + 2 x 0.5 mm² cross-section, combining seven twisted signal pairs and two heavier power leads for brake supply. Both plug ends are built to the M23 installation size and use the Speedtec® quick-lock, so connection requires only a quarter turn. Inside the circular shells, a 17-pin layout separates encoder, temperature, and brake contacts. The assembly is delivered with straight connector geometry, using a plug/female interface on the drive side and a socket/male interface on the motor side, all terminated by crimp contacts on tinned copper conductors. Gold-plated brass contact pieces limit resistance, and 500 mating cycles are specified for repeated connection and disconnection. The signal cores are rated for an operating potential of 30 V, while the power pins can withstand up to 125 V AC/DC.
For field installation, the molding, seals, and over-molded grommets give the assembly a protection level of IP66/67, allowing washdown or dusty environments without additional conduit. The current carrying capacity reaches 7 A max. on the larger conductors, matching the continuous phase demand of compact servomotors. Surge events are handled by insulation designed for a rated impulse voltage of 2.0 kV, ensuring that control electronics remain isolated when switching inductive loads. These electrical boundaries make the cable suitable for packaging lines, pick-and-place units, and other motion-centric equipment where rapid connector engagement and environmental sealing are needed.
