The Beckhoff ZK4510-0020-0250 is a motor cable from the ZK Motor Cables series and features a 25 meter length with tinned copper conductors. The cable has an M23 17-pin connector on one end and a D-Sub 15-pin connector on the other, with a cross-section of 7 x 2 x 0.14 mm² plus 2 x 0.5 mm² and a PUR jacket. It is rated for a maximum speed of 4 meters per second, supports up to 10 million cycles, and has a minimum bending radius of seven times the outer cable diameter.

Product Description:
The ZK4510-0020-0250 is a pre-assembled motor cable produced by Beckhoff for use within the ZK Motor Cables series. It links a Beckhoff drive module to its corresponding servomotor in installations that require continuous movement inside an energy chain. By combining power conductors, encoder pairs, and a protective shield into one assembly, the cable provides a compact interface that reduces wiring effort and supports reliable signal transmission in industrial automation cells.
At a factory-terminated length of 25.00 m, the assembly reaches from cabinet drives to field-mounted motors without intermediate connectors. The internal wiring follows a cross-section of 7 x 2 x 0.14 mm² + 2 x 0.5 mm², so seven twisted signal pairs sit alongside two heavier power cores made of tinned copper for corrosion resistance. These conductors carry control and brake voltages up to 30 V, matching the low-voltage class used by Beckhoff motion systems. A PUR outer jacket withstands oil and abrasion, while the circular envelope of 7.6 mm simplifies clamping in drag-chain separators. Surrounding foil and braid provide electromagnetic shielding with a coverage of at least 85%, which helps limit crosstalk between power and encoder channels. The drive end terminates in a 17-pin M23 plug, and the motor end uses a 15-pin D-Sub connector for direct connection.
Dynamic performance is tuned for drag-chain service. The cable tolerates continuous travel speeds up to 4 m/s and linear accelerations reaching 30 m/s², permitting installation on fast pick-and-place axes. Flex life is rated for 10 million double strokes across a maximum travel distance of 20 m, which suits long travel paths in production lines. The cable requires a minimum bend radius of 7 x outer cable diameter; this balances the stiffness of the PUR sheath with the fine-strand construction of the tinned copper cores.
