Product Description:
The ZK4510-0000-0010 motor cable is produced by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. It is intended for servo installations, carrying power and feedback signals between a drive controller and a rotary or linear motor inside automated machinery. By combining power cores, sensor pairs, and shielding in one assembly, the cable shortens wiring runs and maintains electromagnetic compatibility inside a cabinet or moving cable track.
Its operating potential is limited to 30 V, a level matched to low-voltage servo feedback systems. Conductor geometry of 7 x 2 x 0.14 mm² + 2 x 0.5 mm² separates twisted sensor pairs from the larger power cores so differential signals remain resistant to crosstalk. During motion, the jacket withstands a dynamic tensile stress of 20 N/mm², and the crimped M23 female connector on Head A keeps contact resistance below 5 mΩ to minimize voltage drop. Surge events up to 2.0 kV can be tolerated at Head A without insulation breakdown, and the 17-pin insert routes individual motor phases, brake, and encoder lines to the plug. At the opposite end, Head B uses a 15-pin D-Sub socket with male contacts that mates to typical feedback terminals inside the drive rack.
A mass of 81 kg/km adds predictable load to drag chains and aids acceleration calculations for gantry axes. The M23 end is rated for 7 A continuous phase current at a line potential of 125 V AC/DC, allowing the assembly to supply small and medium Beckhoff servomotors without exceeding thermal limits. Braided copper shielding encloses the entire core bundle with a coverage of ≥ 85%, reducing emitted noise that could disturb adjacent I/O wiring. When fixed, the sheath resists a static tensile force of 50 N/mm², so strain-relief fixtures on the machine frame must be selected to match that limit while keeping the connectors free from axial load.
