Product Description:
The ZK4502-0003-0200 motor cable is supplied by Beckhoff as part of the ZK Motor Cables series. It serves as the fixed wiring link between a servo amplifier and its synchronous motor, carrying both power and encoder signals in one sheath so that installation space inside automated machines is minimized. The hybrid construction with four power cores and two twisted signal pairs allows the product to support coordinated motion axes within packaging lines, material-handling gantries, and other multi-axis control systems.
The cable’s four power conductors follow a 4 × 1.5 mm² layout, while the paired feedback leads share the same PVC jacket. An outer diameter of 11.7 mm keeps bend radii small in drag-chain routes. Each power core provides a cross-section of 1.50 mm², sized for continuous servo current without excessive voltage drop, and every signal pair offers 0.75 mm² to maintain low impedance for encoder pulses. The assembly withstands up to 1000 V AC during normal operation and is proof-tested at 4000 V to verify insulation integrity between conductors and the bare-copper braid. Polypropylene insulation resists heat from cyclic motor currents, and a flame-retardant PVC outer jacket in orange provides clear visibility at control-cabinet exits. The formulation is silicone-free, so it can be installed in paint shops and other contamination-sensitive zones.
Mechanical loading limits include a dynamic tensile allowance of 20 N/mm² for moving-cable carriers and a static ceiling of 50 N/mm² for fixed runs, which helps prevent elongation of the bare-copper strands. Weight is approximately 224 kg/km, which matters when planning carrier fill rates and vertical drops. Long insulation life is supported by a minimum resistance of 500 MΩ·km, which reduces leakage currents in high-impedance feedback circuitry. A power-wire resistance of 13.3 Ω/km helps estimate I²R losses over longer run lengths between the drive and motor.
