Product Description:
The ZK4502-0003-0150 cable is a pre-assembled motor lead produced by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. It carries drive power and auxiliary control signals between a servo amplifier and its motor in automated machinery. By integrating power conductors with twisted signal pairs inside one flexible sheath, the cable simplifies routing and supports synchronized motion control on production lines. Its combined power and signal arrangement also reduces the need for separate cable runs and helps keep machine layouts organized where space around moving axes is limited.
Inside the cable, the core layout follows 4 x 1.5 + 2 x (2 x 0.75) mm², giving four power cores and two shielded signal pairs for brake or feedback lines. Bare copper conductors are insulated with PP and surrounded by a PVC jacket that resists machine oils. Rated to 1000 V AC max, the cable can be flash tested at 4000 V to verify dielectric integrity. Conductor losses stay low because the power cores show 13.3 Ω/km max resistance, and insulation resistance is at least 500 MΩ·km min to reduce leakage current. An overall braid and foil screen provides 85% min coverage, which helps limit electromagnetic interference on nearby signal paths. The product is not halogen-free, yet it is silicone-free so it can be used in paint lines without contamination.
For moving cable chains, the cable has specific mechanical limits. The jacket tolerates cyclic pulling forces up to 20 N/mm² max, while fixed routing must stay below 50 N/mm² max. Installation space is conserved because the minimum bending radius equals 5 x outer cable diameter, allowing tight loops without conductor damage. The supplied length of 15.00 m suits medium-length axis connections on gantries or packaging machines and avoids intermediate junctions that add resistance or noise. Dynamic tensile and flexural performance come from fine-stranded copper and a balanced conductor lay, which helps protect the shielding and insulation during repeated acceleration cycles.
