Product Description:
The ZK4501-8022-0060 motor cable is manufactured by Beckhoff as part of the ZK Motor Cables series. It is a pre-assembled hybrid line that carries drive power, brake conductors, and encoder signals between a servo amplifier and its matching synchronous motor. By combining multiple functions in one flexible sheath, the cable streamlines routing inside moving drag chains and supports precise motion sequences in industrial automation equipment such as pick-and-place gantries, packaging machines, and material-handling axes. Its design follows Beckhoff connection conventions for AM8000 motors, which helps simplify installation.
The cable withstands 5 million dynamic bending cycles, a rating that suits continuous motion in cable carriers. The overall length is 6.00 m, giving enough reach from cabinet drives to moving axes without intermediate junctions. A polyurethane outer jacket resists cutting oils and abrasion, while the molded connectors achieve an IP66/67 ingress rating once coupled. Power conductors use a 1.00 mm² cross-section and support a continuous phase current of 14 A at up to 630 V AC/DC. Control pairs are rated for 3.6 A and 63 V, and their 22 AWG size helps limit voltage drop on encoder lines. This arrangement allows the cable to carry motor current and low-level feedback signals in the same assembly while helping maintain signal integrity in industrial environments.
The power cores withstand 6.0 kV impulse voltage during switching surges, whereas the signal cores tolerate 1.5 kV. The motor brake pair uses a cross-section of 0.75 mm², which supports brake current without unnecessarily increasing cable bulk. Stainless bayonet locking secures the mated plugs and permits 500 connection cycles before contact wear approaches its limit. Inside the circular interface, a 3+PE, Signal: 5 position layout separates phases, protective earth, and five auxiliary pins, which supports safe power distribution and reliable transmission of feedback-related signals.
