Product Description:
The ZK4501-8003-0100 is a pre-assembled motor cable manufactured by Beckhoff as part of the ZK Motor Cables series. Intended for servo axes controlled by Beckhoff drive modules, it combines power conductors and signal pairs in a single cable to simplify wiring in automated assembly lines, robotics, and precision packaging machines. Its factory-molded connectors reduce on-site terminations and help speed installation when integrating motors with distributed control hardware.
The cable is supplied at a fixed length of 10.00 m, allowing cabinet-to-motor runs without intermediate junctions. For insulation coordination, it supports up to 1000 V AC between conductors, while the dedicated three-phase path is rated for a continuous 30 A load. A circular M23 plug couples to Beckhoff motor sockets and uses a 3 + PE contact layout for power along with five control pins for encoder or brake signals. The assembly withstands washdown and dust ingress to IP66/67, making it suitable for food, chemical, or outdoor machinery. Electrical insulation is complemented by a 630 V AC/DC rating on the phase cores, and the unplated copper conductors use crimp terminations for low contact resistance inside the connector. A highly visible orange PVC jacket provides abrasion resistance and makes the cable easier to trace along cable trays.
Internally, the bundle follows a wiring arrangement of 4 x 1.5 mm² + 2 x 0.75 mm² + 2 x AWG22, separating high-current lines from sensitive feedback pairs. During continuous motion, the jacket can flex to a minimum loop of 61 mm, and the overall outside diameter of 12.2 mm fits standard energy-chain separators. The connectors are rated for 500 mating cycles, and an FKM sealing ring helps preserve ingress protection after repeated reconnection. The cable uses bare copper stranded conductors for conductivity, and its crimp contacts help maintain stable electrical performance in vibration-prone servo applications.
