Product Description:
The ZK4500-8025-0070 is a motor power and feedback cable supplied by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. The assembly connects servo drives to field-mounted motors, carrying phase current, brake-control circuits, and encoder signals through bundled conductors. By combining power and auxiliary cores inside one drag-chain-rated jacket, the product helps route motion-axis wiring in automated machinery without adding extra harnesses. It is suited to servo applications where power, brake, and feedback lines must travel together through one managed cable path.
The cable uses a 4.00 mm² power trio for phase current and a separate 1.00 mm² pair for brake energization. Control lines use an AWG 22 twisted, shielded group for encoder or sensor traffic, and each core is insulated with PP to limit dielectric loss. These conductors sit inside a halogen-free TPU jacket that resists oil and abrasion. The woven copper braid covers at least 85% of the surface, helping suppress electromagnetic emission when the cable is driven at up to 1000 V AC. With a linear mass of 420 kg/km, the cable remains substantial enough for stable routing in overhead trays without excessive sag, and the conductor layout supports the thermal rise caused by servo peak currents on medium-length axes.
The supplied length of 7.00 m is pre-terminated for immediate cabinet-to-motor installation, which suits machines with fixed cable paths between the drive and the motor. In continuous-motion carriers, the cable is rated for 5 million bending cycles at speeds up to 4 m/s. It can also absorb up to 20 N/mm² of dynamic tensile stress without conductor fatigue, while a higher static limit applies to fixed runs. The minimum bending radius is 7 times the outer diameter in drag chains and 5 times the outer diameter in stationary setups, allowing compact routing inside machine frames. That flexibility helps when the cable must pass through tight machine sections or around support brackets.
