The ZK4500-8024-0200 is a flexible motor cable produced by Beckhoff for the ZK Motor Cables series. Designed for dynamic machine axes, it carries drive power, brake control, and low-level feedback signals between a servo amplifier and its matched motor, ensuring synchronized movement in industrial automation tasks such as pick-and-place modules or packaging stations. The cable’s construction integrates multiple conductor types and a comprehensive shield so a single assembly can manage motion control without separate harnesses.
With an overall length of 20.00 m, the assembly supports installations where the drive cabinet is set back from the moving axis. The four power cores use a conductor cross-section of 2.50 mm², while a separate 1.00 mm² pair handles the mechanical brake, and encoder or sensor lines use AWG22 twisted pairs. For insulation, Beckhoff selects PP that delivers a volume resistance of at least 500 MΩ·km, limiting leakage currents at the specified line voltage of 1000 V AC. A braided copper screen with at least 85 % optical coverage attenuates emitted noise, and the screen and cores are protected by an oil-resistant TPU outer jacket.
