Product Description:
The ZK4500-8022-0030 is a flexible motor supply cable manufactured by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. It serves as the movable link between a servo drive and its corresponding motor, carrying both power and feedback conductors during continuous machine operation. Designed for drag-chain routing in industrial automation, the cable maintains signal integrity and power delivery while accommodating high-acceleration axes and long horizontal travels often found on gantries and packaging equipment. Combining power and feedback conductors in one jacket also helps keep moving cable paths compact where carrier space is limited.
This model is supplied in a length of 3.00 m, providing a predefined run for standard cabinet-to-actuator distances. Its linear mass of 215 kg/km influences cable carrier loading and the drive force required for motion. The conductor bundle follows a 4 x 1 mm² + 2 x 0.75 mm² + 2 x AWG22 layout, so four power cores, two auxiliary conductors, and two fine signal lines are available in one sheath. During dynamic operation, the cable endures acceleration up to 30 m/s² and withstands bending for as many as 5 million cycles, making it suitable for high-duty production shifts. The power cores are rated for up to 1000 V AC, allowing use with servo inverters that match this insulation class, while insulation resistance stays at or above 500 MΩ·km to limit leakage current.
A minimum drag-chain radius of 81 mm helps prevent conductor fatigue, while a dielectric strength of 4 kV 50 Hz 5 min confirms the insulation barrier between individual cores. Shield coverage of ≥ 85% reduces electromagnetic emissions and supports stable feedback transmission in cabinets with switching drives. The TPU outer jacket resists cutting oils, and PP inner insulation lowers capacitance while keeping power wire resistance at no more than 19.5 Ω/km. The cable also tolerates a dynamic tensile load of 20 N/mm² and can travel up to 20 m horizontally without intermediate support.
