The ZK4500-8004-0100 is a preassembled motor cable manufactured by Beckhoff for the ZK Motor Cables series. It links a servo drive to the corresponding servomotor, carrying three-phase power, brake conductors, and feedback signals in one assembly. Designed for fixed or moving machine sections, the cable provides electrical continuity, reliable shielding, and ingress protection so that controlled torque and position commands reach the motor without interruption in automated packaging, handling, and CNC equipment.
At a 10.00 m overall length, the assembly routes power through 2.50 mm² conductors, while a separate 1.00 mm² brake line carries holding current independently. Bare copper strands are insulated with PP and covered by a flexible PVC jacket that withstands continuous chain motion. Logic and encoder information travel on an AWG22 signal pair. All cores are rated for up to 1000 V AC, so overvoltage transients from regenerative drives remain within insulation limits. The motor-side circular connector provides IP66/IP67 sealing, offering dust-tight protection and resistance to high-pressure washdown. This sealing applies at the motor connector, where dust, coolant spray, and moisture exposure are most likely. The contact layout is Power 3 + PE and Signal 5, and the drive end mirrors this arrangement with 4-pin power and 5-pin signal plugs for direct connection to AX5000 inverters.
A 20 N/mm² dynamic tensile load lets the cable move in drag chains without conductor fatigue, while the permitted 50 N/mm² static load supports fixed routing under permanent strain. The M23 coupling size aligns with standard servo motors and leaves space for the 3 + PE power contacts and five signal pins. For insulation coordination between connector and cable, the interface is limited to a 630 V AC/DC operating level, keeping creepage and clearance distances within the molded insert. This connector-side limit is lower than the cable insulation rating because spacing inside the connector is tighter than in the cable body.
