Product Description:
The ZK4500-8003-0080 motor cable is produced by Beckhoff for the ZK Motor Cables series. Intended for servo installations, it links a drive controller to a rotary motor and provides the power and signal paths needed for closed-loop motion in automated assembly lines. The assembly is delivered pre-terminated, which supports quick connection while maintaining consistent impedance and shielding for reliable power and feedback transmission.
The cable uses a conductor layout of 4 x 1.5 mm² + 2 x 0.75 mm² + 2 x AWG22, separating three-phase power, brake conductors, and twisted signal pairs inside one sheath. Its overall length is 8.00 m, which suits controller-to-motor distances common on gantry axes without requiring additional junction boxes. A keyed M23 plug on the drive side mates with compatible Beckhoff servo modules and helps ensure correct pin assignment. The PVC jacket supports an operating potential of up to 1000 V AC, and the power cores have a resistance of ≤ 13.3 Ω/km. Bare copper conductors help keep inductance low, and the 1.50 mm² power cores are matched to the stated drive current capacity.
For moving machine parts, the cable withstands a dynamic tensile stress of 20 N/mm², while static routing in control cabinets can reach 50 N/mm² without elongation. Reliable flexing is supported by a minimum bend radius of 61 mm, which allows installation in tight cable tracks. A braided shield with ≥ 85% coverage works with insulation resistance of at least 500 MΩ·km to reduce noise and leakage current. Additional geometry includes a 7.62 mm pitch on the B-side power contacts and a 3.50 mm pitch on the D-side signal contacts, both matched to Beckhoff motor sockets. The PVC outer sheath resists machining oils, and the AWG22 feedback pair supports consistent encoder signal transmission during motion.
