Product Description:
The ZK4500-8003-0030 motor cable is supplied by Beckhoff as part of the ZK Motor Cables series. It is a pre-assembled power line intended for routing three-phase power and protective ground between AX servo drives and synchronous motors in industrial automation. By combining shielded conductors, molded connectors, and environmental sealing, the cable provides a ready-to-install solution that keeps electromagnetic emission low and maintains ingress protection in moving machine sections.
The cable is delivered in a length of 3.00 m, so the cabinet and motor can be placed several feet apart without intermediate terminals. At the actuator end, the molded connector carries a protection rating of IP66/67, allowing use in washdown or dusty environments without water or particle intrusion. A power cross-section of 1.50 mm² gives the copper area per phase and therefore the allowable continuous current. The cable braid provides ≥85% coverage, which minimizes radiated noise and improves immunity. With a maximum operating voltage of 1000 V AC, the assembly is compatible with common 400 V and 480 V servo systems while still offering headroom for regenerative peaks. Installation is simplified by a minimum bending radius of 5 x outer cable diameter, permitting routing through tight drag chains without conductor damage.
Dynamic motion stresses are handled by a tensile limit of 20 N/mm², whereas stationary clamping points may reach 50 N/mm² without exceeding the copper yield strength. Continuous operation is permitted up to 2000 m above sea level, which maintains suitable voltage clearance and thermal performance in most factory elevations. Insulation integrity is supported by a resistance of ≥500 MΩ·km, which keeps leakage current very low throughout the service life. The PVC outer jacket is orange and resists oil and cutting fluid, while the cable also meets overvoltage category 3 and pollution level 3 requirements commonly used in control cabinets. Power wire resistance not exceeding 13.3 Ω/km restricts I²R losses during high-speed moves.
