Product Description:
Beckhoff's ZK4500-0023-0090 is a pre-assembled motor supply and feedback cable from the ZK Motor Cables series. This hybrid assembly routes power conductors and sensor pairs between an AX series servo drive and a synchronous motor in automated machinery. By combining phase power and feedback circuits in one jacket, the cable simplifies installation and keeps motor and encoder connections grouped along the same moving path.
The assembly is supplied in a length of 9.00 m, allowing controller-to-motor runs inside long machine frames. Its conductor set uses four 1.5 mm² power cores plus two paired 0.75 mm² feedback circuits, and each copper strand is insulated with PP to reduce dielectric losses during signal transmission. A tough PUR outer sheath provides abrasion and coolant resistance while keeping the overall diameter to 12.4 mm for routing through carriers and machine openings. In continuously moving cable chains, the jacket withstands peak accelerations up to 30 m/s² and survives more than 10 million double-strokes without conductor fatigue. Insulation resistance is 10 MΩ·km, and the design meets a voltage utilization of 600/1000 V for combined power and signal service. The molded connector on head B maintains a 7.62 mm pitch between signal pins to reduce crosstalk.
In drag-chain service, the minimum dynamic bend radius is limited to 7 × outer diameter. When permanently laid, the cable may be bent to 4 × outer diameter without compromising shield integrity. The circular power end features an M23 plug that locks to standard Beckhoff motor sockets, while the encoder side uses a 3.50 mm contact pitch to fit drive feedback modules. Continuous motion is supported at speeds up to 4 m/s across strokes as long as 20 m, matching pick-and-place axes or pallet shuttles that need fast and repeatable cable movement.
