Internal Product Review
The ZK4500-0023-0070 is a Beckhoff motor cable built with bare copper conductors and a PUR jacket. The cable performs especially well in dynamic applications with support for 30 m/s² acceleration and up to 10 million cycles. A 1000 V AC rating and minimum 85% shielding coverage make the cable a strong choice for dependable motor power and signal transmission.

Product Description:
The ZK4500-0023-0070 cable is produced by Beckhoff as part of the ZK Motor Cables series. It is a pre-assembled power and feedback lead intended for dynamic cable-track routing between an AX drive and an AM motor, carrying three-phase supply and differential signal pairs in one jacket. Within automated machinery, the assembly simplifies installation and provides predictable electrical parameters so drives can operate without compensation for unknown line impedance.
Its overall reach is 7.00 m, allowing controller cabinets to be placed away from the moving axis without intermediate terminals. The internal geometry follows a 4 x 1.5 + 2 x (2 x 0.75) mm² conductor layout, separating power cores from two twisted signal pairs to reduce crosstalk during encoder transmission. Each conductor is made of bare copper and insulated so that line-to-line resistance remains within the stated limit while supporting an operating voltage up to 1000 V AC. When the cable is routed through an energy chain, a minimum dynamic bend radius of 87 mm can be maintained. A tinned-copper braid with at least 85% optical coverage surrounds the bundle and provides low-impedance shielding against EMI generated by inverter switching.
Durability in continuous motion is supported by a peak acceleration capability of 30 m/s², a maximum carrier speed of 4 m/s, and a service life rated for 10 million flexing cycles when operated within the stated limits. Over longer linear machines, the assembly can travel up to 20 m without signal degradation, assisted by a PUR outer jacket that resists oil and weld splatter. The 12.4 mm outside diameter fits common chain links, and power wire resistance of 13.3 Ω/km together with an insulation resistance of 10 MΩ·km helps drive controllers detect faults quickly while keeping voltage drop low over the full cable length.
