Product Description:
The ZK4500-0023-0020 is a hybrid motor cable manufactured by Beckhoff for the ZK Motor Cables series. It combines power cores and feedback pairs in one sheath so a drive controller can energize and supervise a servomotor through a single routed line. Bare copper conductors and polypropylene insulation provide low resistance and stable dielectric strength, allowing the assembly to endure the bending cycles that occur inside drag-chain guides on automated packaging, handling, and machining equipment without degrading signal transfer.
The overall length is 2.00 m, which provides a fixed distance between the drive enclosure and the motor without extensions. Current capacity comes from the conductor array of 4 × 1.5 mm² + 2 × (2 × 0.75 mm²); the larger cores supply phase voltages while the paired 0.75 mm² wires transmit sensor and brake signals. On the motor side, a M23, 8-pin circular connector carries all lines through a keyed metal coupling, and the cabinet end uses a 7.62 mm pitch, 4-pin plug that matches Beckhoff servo terminals. A tough PUR (polyurethane) outer jacket resists oils and welding spatter, and it permits a 4× outer-diameter static bend radius or 7× outer-diameter when the cable is moving. Wire-to-wire insulation withstands 4000 V, and the wire-to-shield path is proof-tested at 2000 V for added protection against transient faults.
For dynamic axes, the cable tolerates continuous accelerations up to 30 m/s² and travel velocities reaching 4 m/s without compromising conductor integrity during repeated motion. Linear movement can extend to 20 m because of the low-friction jacket and balanced core geometry along straight travel paths. The design supports operating voltages as high as 1000 V AC, allowing use with compatible servo inverters while maintaining insulation clearance.
