Product Description:
The ZK4500-0004-0190 is a pre-terminated motor supply cable manufactured by Beckhoff for the ZK Motor Cables series. It combines power, brake, and differential signal conductors under a single sheath and is intended to link AX drive modules to synchronous motors in material-handling lines, packaging cells, and other automated stations. By using matched connectors and properly sized conductors, the cable supports predictable voltage drop, consistent shielding performance, and fast installation without on-site crimping.
Its fixed length of 19.0 m supports long-axis installations, and a power core sized at 2.50 mm² carries the continuous phase current required by medium-power motors. The assembly is rated for an operating voltage of 600/1000 V (VDE), so it matches common three-phase inverter outputs. A molded M23 straight female motor plug carries the phases and brake lines, and the sealing system on that connector is rated to IP66/67, allowing use in washdown or dusty zones. Despite the multi-core design, the outer sheath remains only 13.4 mm in diameter, which helps with routing through energy chains. A bare copper conductor set and an insulation resistance of 10 MΩ·km further limit leakage current during continuous motion.
Belt conveyors and gantry axes benefit from the cable’s low mass of 288 kg/km, which reduces drag inside cable carriers and lowers moving load on the servo system. The cable withstands a wire-to-wire test voltage of 4000 V, indicating adequate dielectric strength for rapid acceleration and deceleration duty. Quick tool-free connection is possible because Speedtec is the specified locking method. A flexible outer jacket made of PVC resists cutting fluids and is easy to strip for cabinet terminations, while identical 1.00 mm² signal and brake pairs help maintain balanced impedance for encoder channels and holding-brake control.
