Product Description:
The ZK4500-0003-0130 motor cable is produced by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. As a factory-terminated assembly, it links a servo drive to its companion motor, carrying power, feedback, and brake conductors through a single sheath to simplify wiring inside automated packaging lines, gantry axes, and other motion systems. By arriving pre-wired, the cable reduces connection errors during machine assembly and keeps related motor circuits bundled in one routed cable run.
At a length of 13.00 m, the cable can be routed from the control cabinet to a moving axis without intermediate junctions. Its conductor set is arranged as 4x1.5 + 2x(2x0.75) mm²; the four 1.5 mm² power cores deliver phase current, while each 0.75 mm² pair carries encoder and brake signals. All cores are bare-copper strands that terminate in an 8-pin plug built to the M23 format. Inside that connector, the power contacts carry up to 630 V AC/DC and a maximum current of 30 A, supporting medium-frame servo motors under peak demand. The assembly is insulated for a dielectric test level of 4000 V without breakdown, and a gray PVC outer jacket protects the bundle from oil mist and mechanical abrasion found on the plant floor.
The cable also includes several electrical limits for continuous operation in moving machinery. The insulation provides at least 500 MΩ·km of resistance, which helps curb leakage when multiple cables share a tray and when long cable runs are installed in the same enclosure. Continuous duty is permitted up to 1000 V AC, while an overall braid with no less than 85% coverage helps keep emitted noise below EMC thresholds. Copper losses are minimized by a power-core resistance not exceeding 13.3 Ω/km, and the assembly has a mass of 224 kg/km, which is relevant when supports are sized for long suspended sections or moving cable carriers.
