Product Description:
The ZK4000-6700-2030 is a flexible motor power lead produced by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. It is intended for dynamic machine zones where decentralized servo drives require compact wiring that tolerates continual movement. The cable carries power from a drive amplifier to a motor through its molded M12 plug, while the open end is prepared for user-specific terminations inside the control cabinet, enabling straightforward integration in automated axes and gantries.
The plug side uses an M12 circular connector that is A-coded for secure keying and field interchangeability. Four contacts arranged in a 4-pin layout transfer the three motor phases and protective earth. Each conductor has a cross-section of 4 x 0.5 mm² (AWG20), providing a low-resistance path for typical servo currents without excessive cable bulk. The stranded cores are wrapped in a tinned copper braid that offers 360-degree shielding against electromagnetic noise, and the entire assembly is jacketed in PUR, a material chosen for abrasion resistance and coolant tolerance. Mechanical durability is verified for 4 million flex cycles at up to 3 m/s travel speed, making the lead suitable for continuous-motion drag-chain applications. An outer diameter of 6.0 mm ±0.2 mm keeps routing space to a minimum while still allowing the braid and jacket thickness required for industrial environments.
The cable is supplied in a length of 3.00 m, so most installations can be completed without intermediate joints. During operation, it must never be bent tighter than 10 x cable OD, preserving conductor geometry and shielding integrity. Electrical ratings include a continuous current of 5 A at 40 °C, an operating voltage of 300 V or less, and a nominal rating of 160 V for standard servo drives. High-potential testing at 3000 V verifies insulation quality.
