Product Description:
The ZK4000-6261-0020 is a flexible motor supply cable produced by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. Designed for servo axes, the assembly connects drive terminals to field-mounted motors while carrying power and protective earth in automated machinery. Its molded M12 interfaces and polyurethane sheath make it suitable for dynamic cable chains on packaging lines, material-handling cells, and other motion systems. The assembly matches standard drive pinouts, which helps keep wiring straightforward in servo installations.
The cable is 2.00 m long, providing a fixed drop length without leaving excess slack inside small control cabinets. Four conductors with a cross-section of 4 x 0.5 mm² are built from 28 strands of 0.15 mm wire, a layout that balances flexibility with current-carrying capacity. At ambient temperatures up to 40 °C, each core can carry 5 A at 40 °C during continuous operation. For mains compatibility, the insulation system is rated for a nominal 250 V supply while remaining within the stated operating limit. Preassembled terminations use an M12 female socket on side A and an M12 male plug on side B, and the knurled coupling nuts should be tightened to 0.6 Nm to keep contact resistance below 10 mΩ. The PUR outer jacket resists oil and abrasion, and when the connectors are fully tightened, the connection reaches IP65/67.
Electrical integrity is checked with a withstand test of ≥ 3000 V, and the design supports surge events up to 1.5 kV without insulation breakdown. The circular bundle measures 5.35 ± 0.15 mm across the jacket, which helps the cable fit into tight routing paths and compact drag-chain layouts. The cable is rated for more than 4 million flexing cycles, so repeated motion does not quickly fatigue the conductor bundle. This combination suits switching cabinets and moving axes that are exposed to fast drive transients and regular bending during operation.
