Product Description:
The ZK4000-6200-2030 motor cable is manufactured by Beckhoff as part of the ZK Motor Cables series and is intended for servo axis wiring in automated equipment. It provides a pre-terminated connection between a drive amplifier and the motor, combining power and signal conductors inside a PUR outer jacket that resists oils and coolants commonly found on production lines. By supplying regulated current to the motor phases and returning encoder or sensor signals through dedicated contacts, the cable supports closed-loop motion control while reducing separate field wiring during installation.
A PUR sheath surrounds four conductors with a cross-section of 4 × 0.5 mm², allowing low-loss delivery of drive power. The cut length is 3.00 m, which suits compact control cabinets while still allowing modest routing freedom between the drive and the motor connection point. Up to 5 A can be carried continuously at a line potential of 250 V before thermal derating is required. The molded socket is threaded for an M12 interface, enabling quick coupling to compatible devices without separate gland fittings. Inside the housing, female contacts arranged in a 4-pin A-coded pattern help prevent incorrect mating during connection.
The assembly tolerates a cable speed of 3 m/s and a linear acceleration of 10 m/s² when installed in an energy chain, helping maintain conductor integrity and shielding performance during repeated motion. Service life testing confirms at least 4 million double strokes under those dynamic limits, which supports use on axes with frequent travel cycles. During installation, the metal coupling nut should be tightened to 0.6 Nm so the seal is secured without damaging the plastic body. These operating limits are intended for moving cable applications where repeated bending and travel are expected.
