The ZK4000-5100-2030 flexible motor cable is produced by Beckhoff and belongs to the ZK Motor Cables series. It forms the link between servo drives and field-mounted motors in automated machinery, routing both power and protective ground through a compact round jacket. The round construction supports tidy routing through moving machine sections where cable space is limited. By matching the motion demands of dynamic axes, the cable helps maintain consistent current delivery while equipment accelerates, decelerates, or runs through continuous duty cycles. Its pre-assembled connector simplifies installation on modular production lines and reduces wiring errors during maintenance.
At an overall length of 3.00 m, the lead reaches between the cabinet and motor without excess slack. The cable uses a conductor layout of 5 x 0.25 mm², and each conductor is built from 32 × 0.10 mm strands to keep the assembly flexible. The assembly is rated for 60 V systems and carries up to 4 A at 40 °C, matching the output range of Beckhoff micro-servo drives. An M12 circular connector is factory-installed; it is A-coded and supplied in a male version to prevent cross-mating with sensor lines. The coupling nut should be tightened to 0.6 Nm, and full-coverage braid shielding helps block electromagnetic noise from nearby inverters.
Mechanical endurance is rated for 2,000,000 flex cycles at cable speeds up to 3 m/s and accelerations of 10 m/s². The compact 5.65 mm ± 0.2 mm outer diameter, together with a PUR jacket, lets the cable run through energy chains without binding and resists cutting fluids in enclosed machine spaces. The PUR outer jacket also tolerates repeated bending and surface contact where cables pass through tightly packed moving sections. A 5-pin layout supports three motor phases, a protective conductor, and a brake control line without increasing bundle size.
