Product Description:
The ZK4000-2111-2050 motor cable is produced by Beckhoff as part of the ZK Motor Cables series. Designed for industrial automation, it links servo or asynchronous motors to their drive amplifiers while routing auxiliary signals through the same bundle. The assembly is intended for dynamic routing in cable carriers and robot arms, where space is constrained and mechanical stress is high. It uses Beckhoff-coded connectors and optimized strain-relief elements to support secure connections and stable electrical performance during long-term machine operation. This combined layout can help reduce the number of separate moving cables around the axis and keep routing more orderly in compact machine sections.
The fixed length of 5 m allows predictable routing without on-site cutting. Inside the PUR outer jacket, 4 power cores each with a cross-section of 1.5 mm² carry phase current while helping control conductor heating. These cores are surrounded by a tinned copper braid with shielding coverage of ≥ 85%, which helps reduce conducted and radiated noise in high-frequency inverter environments. Rated insulation supports continuous operation at 1000 V AC, and dielectric withstand is verified by a 4000 V test. Bare copper conductors keep loop impedance low, overall loop wire resistance stays within ≤ 20.0 Ω/km, and insulation resistance of 500 MΩ·km helps suppress leakage currents. Both cable ends are factory prepared for faster installation.
The cable also includes 2 auxiliary conductors with a cross-section of 1.0 mm² for brake release, temperature sensing, or other low-current control functions. The assembly is rated for 10 million continuous bending cycles, making it suitable for moving axes that operate repeatedly in cable carriers. Its compact diameter and high flexibility help reduce torsional stress at the connectors during motion, and the preformed strain-relief elements help keep bending loads away from the terminations. Using one cable assembly for motor power and auxiliary circuits can also help keep moving cable bundles more manageable in tight machine layouts.
