Product Description:
The ZK2020-3132-0020 motor cable is produced by Beckhoff as part of the ZK Motor Cables series. This prefabricated PUR-jacketed line is intended to carry low-voltage power and feedback signals between Beckhoff servo drives and field-mounted actuators or sensors in automated machinery. Factory crimping and overmolded connectors eliminate manual terminations, speeding installation and ensuring consistent electrical performance on the production floor. Its compact prefabricated format also helps keep cable routing orderly on small machines where moving axes and nearby devices share limited space.
The assembly features an A-coded circular interface, with an M8 plug on one end and an M8 socket on the opposite side for straightforward daisy-chain layouts. Its 4-pin contact pattern separates supply and signal lines, and each conductor uses a 4 x 0.34 mm² (AWG22) cross-section formed from 42 strands of 0.10 mm copper to maintain flexibility. Insulation resistance of ≥10 GΩ supports reliable operation in damp environments, while the sheath is extruded from PUR, providing resistance to oils and weld spatter. Because no shield is integrated, the cable should be routed apart from high-frequency switching cables. Connector threads are tightened to the recommended 0.4 Nm, and at least 100 mating cycles are supported without loss of contact quality. This layout is useful where one compact cable must handle both power delivery and signal continuity without adding unnecessary bulk.
A fixed length of 2.00 m simplifies cable-tray planning and keeps loop inductance low on short axis runs. The conductors are approved for 4 A continuous current at line potentials of 50 V AC/60 V DC, matching typical power stages on compact Beckhoff servomotors. Despite this load capability, the overall jacket diameter is only 4.7 mm ± 0.15 mm, so the cable occupies minimal space in drag chains. Polypropylene is used as the inner wire insulation to enhance dielectric strength and thermal stability during dynamic bending cycles. The slim outside diameter also helps the cable pass through tight machine passages where larger assemblies would be harder to route cleanly.
