Product Description:
The ZK2020-3132-0015 motor cable is produced by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. It is supplied as a ready-made assembly for connecting servo axes to decentralized I/O or drive controllers in automated machinery. An A-coded designation matches the sensor-actuator wiring standard, while a straight M8 male plug at one end couples with a straight M8 female socket at the other for quick field installation. Because the cable is not shielded, it is intended for power or low-level signal runs where electromagnetic coupling with adjacent conductors is acceptable.
The cable carries four conductors, each terminated on a 4-pin circular interface so drive feedback and auxiliary power share a common connector. Conductor sizing of 4 × 0.34 mm² (AWG22) sets the permissible ampacity and keeps the bundle flexible for moving-axis use. A polyurethane jacket resists oil and weld slag while preserving flexibility, and the overall diameter of 4.7 mm supports a minimum dynamic bend radius of 10 times the outside diameter for drag-chain use. For continuous motion carriers, this allows routing through tight radii without stressing the cores while still allowing travel up to 5 m/s. Environmental sealing meets IP65/67, preventing dust ingress and high-pressure water intrusion at the mated ends so installations outside enclosures remain reliable.
Within a motion system, the cable’s effective reach of 1.50 m fits compact axes, and it endures carriage accelerations up to 10 m/s² without conductor fatigue. Electrical loading remains within the specified 4 A continuous current and a working potential of 50 VAC / 60 VDC, which aligns with the conductor gauge to limit resistive losses. At least 100 mating cycles are guaranteed for the screw-locking M8 pair, supporting repeated connection and disconnection during normal service. These operating limits support stable transmission of power and auxiliary signals during repeated drag-chain motion.
