Product Description:
The ZK2000-3100-0020 motor cable is manufactured by Beckhoff as part of the ZK Motor Cables series. It provides a ready-made power link between decentralized servo drives and the motors they control, reducing on-site assembly work inside automated production cells. A molded connector on one end and open conductors on the other allow routing through drag chains while preserving consistent electrical characteristics. This arrangement is useful where compact motion assemblies need a flexible cable that can be connected quickly at the motor end without adding bulky terminal hardware along the cable run.
On the drive side, the cable terminates in an M8 circular connector that follows the A-coded layout. The interface is a male plug with a 4-pin arrangement, and the conductor order is 1-Brown, 2-White, 3-Blue, and 4-Black for clear field matching. Each core has a cross-section of 4 x 0.25 mm² (AWG24), providing flexibility while supporting the stated load current. Mechanical retention of the connector is achieved with a 0.4 Nm coupling nut, which helps keep the connection secure during repeated machine motion. The sheath is made of PUR for abrasion and coolant resistance, and the overall outside diameter of 4.4 mm ± 0.15 mm helps the cable fit compact cable carriers and narrow routing spaces. When properly mated, the assembly meets the IP65/67 ingress rating, which helps protect the conductors from dust and temporary water exposure.
The cable has a length of 2.00 m to its open-end termination, where tinned leads can be connected to screw or spring clamps on the motor side. It supports a continuous load of 4 A at 50 V AC or 60 V DC to match low-power motion axes. During machine movement, the jacket tolerates speeds up to 5 m/s and acceleration peaks of 10 m/s², enabling rapid positioning cycles without placing unnecessary stress on the conductors. A separate strain-relief device should be fitted at the free end to help prevent pullout during dynamic operation and to keep repeated bending forces away from the termination point.
