Product Description:
The ZK1090-9191-0200 motor cable is supplied by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. Designed for servo axes, the assembly conveys DC link power, feedback, and EtherCAT communication between an AX drive and an AM motor. Its factory-overmolded connectors employ an 8-pin layout that merges power and signal conductors, reducing separate runs inside machines. Because power, communication, and feedback share one assembly, the cable suits moving machine sections where separate cable bundles would take more space and require larger bend areas. The combined format also helps with compact routing in gantries, packaging stations, and material-handling cells.
The cable extends 20.00 m, allowing remote motor placement without intermediate junctions. Internally, a 4 x 2 x AWG26 structure provides four twisted pairs with a 0.14 mm² conductor cross-section for EtherCAT traffic. Operating circuits may apply up to 60 V to the power pair, and loop resistance is limited to 280 Ω/km to help curb voltage drop over the run. Ground capacitance is listed as 1600 pF/km, while mutual pair capacitance is 51 pF/m at 1 kHz to support signal stability. A propagation delay of 5.08 ns/m and 90% braid-and-foil shielding help maintain real-time communication, and each molded plug carries 1 A continuous current and withstands 160 V. This arrangement keeps power and communication paths within the same overmolded harness rather than splitting them into separate assemblies.
The outer jacket is PUR (polyurethane) for resistance to oil, abrasion, and continuous flexing, and the cores are insulated with PE to minimize dielectric losses. The PE insulation also supports stable high-frequency transmission, while the PUR jacket resists surface wear from repeated contact with carriers, guides, and machine framing. Mechanical durability covers at least ≥ 750 mating cycles, preserving contact quality during repeated connection and disconnection. Electrical insulation remains reliable at 5000 MΩ/km at 20°C, which helps limit leakage over the cable length in normal operation.
