Product Description:
The ZK1090-6191-0100 is a pre-assembled motor cable manufactured by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. It combines power conductors and an internal Ethernet pair so that servo drives can transmit energy and feedback through a single routed line in automated machinery. By integrating both functions into one PUR-sheathed assembly, the cable simplifies wiring in moving axes such as gantry stages, pick-and-place heads, and packaging stations.
The cable’s rated insulation withstands 600 V, allowing three-phase motor supplies to be delivered without overstress in typical cabinet voltages. Each power core is built from 7 × 0.25 mm tinned copper strands, a layout that balances flexibility with current-carrying capacity and also resists oxidation at termination points. Head A is a round connector whose gland should be tightened to 0.6 Nm so that strain relief and sealing are maintained, and its internal interface is limited to 160 V signal potential. Head B supports up to 1.5 A on its feedback pins, matching the needs of standard resolver or brake circuits. The overall length is 10.00 m, enabling controller-to-axis routing in midsize machines without intermediate junctions. A PUR outer jacket provides abrasion resistance, while the separate 1 × 4 × 0.34 mm² (AWG22) Ethernet element helps preserve data integrity alongside motor phases.
The cable sustains repetitive motion loads of 4 m/s² acceleration and linear speeds up to 4 m/s across strokes as long as 4.5 m. It is rated for 3 million flex cycles in drag-chain layouts, and mutual capacitance is limited to 52 nF/km, which helps keep reactive current low during high-frequency drive switching. Unbalanced capacitance remains 1600 pF/km to help minimize differential noise, and a signal propagation delay of 5.3 ns/m supports deterministic fieldbus timing when the embedded Ethernet pair is used for encoder feedback or condition-monitoring channels.
