Product Description:
The ZK1090-6161-0020 is a preassembled signal and supply lead produced by Beckhoff for the ZK Motor Cables series. Built around a flexible PUR-jacketed multicore layout, the assembly is intended for moving machine sections that require secure power and feedback transmission. In an industrial automation cell, it carries auxiliary voltages and sensor channels between servo axes and the control cabinet while tolerating continuous flex cycles. The cable helps reduce panel wiring time by arriving cut, stripped, and strain-relieved from the factory.
It is rated for a maximum conductor voltage of 600 V, allowing motor-brake and auxiliary supply lines to operate on common 24 V or 230 V control circuits without exceeding insulation limits. The permissible load reaches 4 A at 40 °C, so inductive field devices can draw modest currents without overheating the cores. Low connector-to-conductor resistance of < 5 mΩ keeps voltage drop negligible across short runs. The twisted-quad cross-section of 1 × 4 × 0.34 mm² (AWG22) balances signal density with flexibility, and an impulse withstand level of 2.5 kV protects electronics from switching transients generated by nearby drives.
Overall cable length is 2.00 m, and both ends are terminated with D-coded, 4-pin M12 plugs that follow the IEC 61076 interface for direct connection. Once fastened with the specified nut torque of 0.6 Nm, the threaded coupling and molded backshell achieve the IP65/67 enclosure class, blocking dust and water during washdown or outdoor service. Continuous chain operation is permitted because the PUR outer jacket, aluminum-foil plus tinned-copper braid shielding, and tinned copper conductors endure repeated bending without conductor breakage. A low loop resistance of ≤ 115 Ω/km helps maintain accurate sensor readings, while the internal coding key prevents accidental mating with incompatible network connectors.
