Product Description:
The ZK1090-3191-0070 motor cable is produced by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. It serves as a flexible power and signal lead between compact servo axes and decentralized I/O modules in automated machinery. The cable transmits low-voltage supply and feedback channels through a single shielded line, allowing quick installation and reliable motion control in dynamic gantry, packaging, and material-handling equipment. It is designed for continuous movement inside drag chains, providing electrical continuity while withstanding millions of flex cycles required in modern servo drive systems.
The conductor bundle has a cross-section of 1 × 4 × 0.14 mm² (AWG26), so four individually insulated leads carry power and differential signals with low conductor resistance. The cable is approved for a continuous operating voltage of 30 V, which is suitable for sensor supply lines and auxiliary servo electronics. On the motor side, the assembled connector is a M8, male, straight, 4-pin, A-coded plug; this keyed format helps prevent wiring errors and saves panel space. That connector can deliver up to 4 A at 40 °C, which suits small-frame servomotor currents. Additional electrical parameters include a loop resistance of 250 Ω/km and contact voltage limits of 50 V AC or 60 V DC at head A, while the PUR jacket provides oil and coolant resistance for plant environments.
The overall cable length is 7.00 m, giving reach for cabinet-to-machine routing without splices. At the control end, an RJ45, male, straight, 8-pin plug mates directly with standard Ethernet-based servo drives and is insulated for up to 125 V. During operation inside energy chains, the assembly tolerates accelerations up to 10 m/s² and speeds up to 15 m/s while maintaining signal integrity over 20 million bending cycles, as long as the dynamic radius stays above 20 × outer diameter. A propagation delay of 5.55 ns/m supports deterministic fieldbus timing.
