Product Description:
The ZK1090-3132-0150 is a preassembled motor supply and feedback cable produced by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. Intended for flexible routing between a servo drive and a field motor, the assembly delivers power and signal pairs in one jacket, supporting decentralized I/O and motion modules on modern machines. By combining power conductors and Ethernet-grade signal cores, the product simplifies wiring in drag-chain installations and maintains the deterministic communication required in industrial automation.
The cable is supplied in a fixed length of 15.00 m, allowing controller-to-motor separation without intermediate junctions. Inside the outer sheath, the conductors use a Star Quad geometry that balances impedance and crosstalk for mixed power and signal traffic up to the specified 30 V insulation rating. Each core is built from 19 × 0.1 mm fine strands to maximize flexibility, and the assembly is rated for 20 million drag-chain cycles so repetitive motion does not damage the conductors. For real-time fieldbus use, the pair reserved for feedback has an Ethernet cross-section of 1 × 4 × 0.14 mm² (AWG26), while mutual capacitance is limited to 51 pF/m at 1 kHz to preserve signal edges. When fully tightened, the screw coupling reaches a protection class of IP65/67 against dust and splashing liquids.
Electrical interfaces use an M8 plug at one end and a matching M8 socket at the other end, and both are straight, four-pin, A-coded connectors. These terminations carry up to 4 A at 40 °C and withstand 50 V AC / 60 V DC system potentials without corona or creeping discharge. Signal integrity over the full route is supported by a propagation delay of 5.55 ns/m, while copper losses are limited by a loop resistance of 250 Ω/km. The outer jacket is made of PUR, which provides abrasion resistance, and the coupling threads require a tightening torque of 0.4 Nm to reach the specified seal.
