Product Description:

The ZK1090-3131-3050 from Beckhoff is an EtherCAT cable made to send signals and power reliably in industrial systems. The company is known for making automation systems that need to be highly connected and meet international standards.

The protection on the ZK1090-3131-3050 EtherCAT cable keeps the signal strong and lowers electromagnetic interference. In line with IEC 61076-2-111, the cable can handle a rated voltage of 63 V and an IEC 61076-2-104 rated current of 4 A at 40°C. In line with IEC 60512, the shielding resistance is given as ≥100 gigohms. The cross-section of the wires is 4 x 0.14 mm² (AWG 26), and they are made of bare copper, which makes signal transmission very good. The wire jacket is made of polyurethane (PUR) and has an outside diameter of 4.9 mm ± 0.2 mm. It is flexible and long-lasting. The cable can handle at least 100 mating rounds, and the weight is 33 kg/km. The cable can work in temperatures from -30°C to +70°C, so it can be installed in a lot of different situations. Both ends of the wire have M8, 4-pin, A-coded male plugs that are straight and have a screw-type locking mechanism to make sure the connections are safe.

The ZK1090-3131-3050 EtherCAT cable has a screw-type locking mechanism that makes links safe and resistant to vibration. Shielding in the cable is made up of aluminum-clad foil and a band of tinned copper wires that cover at least 80% of the optical path. The contact part is made of PA 6, UL 94 V0, which is flame-resistant. Without halogens, the wire does not catch fire and does not get oily according to IEC 60332-1-2 and DIN EN 60811-2-1. The cable is approved by RoHS and has CE and UL certifications.

Frequently Asked Questions about ZK1090-3131-3050:

Q: How does ZK1090-3131-3050 ensure secure connections?

A: Cable uses a screw-type locking mechanism that prevents accidental disconnection. This provides stable and vibration-resistant mating in automated systems.

Q: Why is the rated current 4 A at 40°C for ZK1090-3131-3050?

A: The 4 A rating at 40°C ensures safe operation under typical load and temperature conditions. It matches IEC 61076-2-104 standards for reliability.

Q: Do ZK1090-3131-3050 contacts have special plating?

A: Yes, cable contacts are nickel with a gold flash. This combination improves corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity.

Q: How does ZK1090-3131-3050 maintain flexibility?

A: The polyurethane jacket and specified bending radii allow the cable to flex without damage. This supports dynamic and static installations.

Q: Why is the insulation resistance ≥ 100 GΩ in ZK1090-3131-3050?

A: High insulation resistance in the cable minimizes leakage currents. This ensures safe and efficient signal transmission over long cable lengths.

Internal Product Review
