Product Description:
The ZK1090-3131-1060 is a flexible power and feedback cable assembly manufactured by Beckhoff as part of the ZK Motor Cables series. Designed for installation in drag-chain tracks, the assembly carries both servo power conductors and a shielded Ethernet pair so that drives and motors can exchange energy and diagnostic data without separate harnesses. In automated production lines, this single-cable approach reduces wiring volume and supports coordinated motion between the controller and moving axes.
Electrically, the cable withstands a line potential of 600 V while supplying up to 4 A at 40 °C through four conductors that terminate in a compact M8 circular plug with a 4-pin layout. The hybrid element integrates an Ethernet core of 1 × 4 × 0.34 mm² (AWG22), giving deterministic communication with a signal delay of 5.3 ns/m. Insulation thickness is 0.375 mm and the mutual capacitance is 52 nF/km at 1 kHz, parameters selected to limit reactive losses over typical cable runs. A molded coupling nut seals the interface to the motor enclosure so the complete link attains a protection rating of IP65/67, keeping dust and washdown fluids away from live parts. The conductor arrangement supports the 4-pin layout, while the dielectric spacing and twist pitch help maintain stable signal transmission.
For dynamic motion, the outer jacket tolerates a continuous speed of 4 m/s and acceleration up to 4 m/s² while following travel paths as long as 4.5 m. Service life in the drag chain is qualified for 3 million double strokes, provided that the routing observes a minimum loop radius of 15 × outer cable diameter; in freely moved hand-guided sections, the radius may be reduced to 8 × diameter. These bend limits, together with the low-friction sheath, prevent conductor fatigue and help maintain impedance stability across the chain length.
