Product Description:
The ZK1090-3131-1003 is a pre-assembled motor power and sensor cable manufactured by Beckhoff for the ZK Motor Cables series. It serves as the flexible link between compact servo drives and the machine frame, carrying power, brake, and encoder lines through a single molded connector. The assembly is intended for dynamic cable-track installations found in pick-and-place stations and packaging equipment.
At a length of 0.30 m, the lead minimizes signal delay while fitting neatly inside tight control cabinets. One end terminates in a compact M8 circular plug that follows the A-coded assignment, and the opposite side is prepared for field wiring with color-coded conductors. The connector carries a 4-pin layout that matches Beckhoff motor feedback ports. Power conductors can be energized up to 600 V, and the 0.34 mm² copper cores support a continuous current of 4 A. Internally, the cable uses a 1 × 4 × 0.34 mm² profile built from seven strands of 0.25 mm wire in each core, an arrangement equivalent to AWG22 and chosen for both flexibility and low DC resistance. Mutual capacitance is 52 nF/km at 1 kHz, while unbalanced capacitance remains 1600 pF/km, maintaining signal integrity over short factory runs.
The thermoplastic sheath is made of PUR (polyurethane), giving the assembly an abrasion-resistant surface that tolerates up to 3 million continuous flex cycles in energy chains. For control signals routed through the connector, the voltage limit is 50 V AC/60 V DC, and the typical propagation delay is only 5.3 ns/m, supporting high-speed encoder feedback. A recommended tightening torque of 0.4 Nm secures the threaded coupling without damaging the molded housing. Because the conductor design follows AWG22 geometry, bending forces stay low even under repeated motion. The specified coding prevents accidental cross-mating with other fieldbus styles, and the low capacitance values further reduce edge distortion in fast digital channels.
