Product Description:
The ZK1090-3131-0150 motor cable is produced by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. Supplied with an over-molded connector at one end, it serves as the dedicated interface between EtherCAT servo terminals or drive modules and the attached motor in factory automation cells. The cable carries low-voltage supply along with feedback signals, providing a ready-made harness that reduces wiring time on assembly lines and in control cabinets.
Its conductor arrangement follows a Star Quad structure, meaning four insulated cores are twisted into two opposing pairs to minimize crosstalk between power and sensor circuits. Each core is formed from 19 strands of 0.1 mm copper, and the overall cross-section equals 1 × 4 × 0.14 mm² (AWG26), a size chosen for flexible routing in cable chains. The cable is rated for 30 V, and each core can deliver up to 4 A at 40 °C, which is suitable for small servo brake or holding circuits. A molded M8 plug with A-coded alignment and a 4-pin layout terminates the assembly, allowing quick mating with standardized motor sockets. For field deployment, the jacket and connector meet IP65/67 sealing, blocking dust ingress and water jets during washdown cleaning.
The cable length is 15.00 m, giving ample reach for distributed drives without splicing. Transmission quality is supported by a mutual capacitance of 51 pF/m at 1 kHz and a shield coverage of 90 %, factors that help keep signal edges clean under high-frequency motor pulses. The polyurethane jacket withstands oils and weld spatter, while loop resistance of 250 Ω/km keeps voltage drop predictable over the run. Head-side operating limits reach 50 V AC or 60 V DC, and a propagation delay of 5.55 ns/m supports fast encoder feedback.
