The Beckhoff ZK1090-3100-0150 is a motor cable from the ZK Motor Cables series, featuring a length of 15 meters and a conductor made of tinned copper measuring 19 strands of 0.1 mm. It is equipped with a straight M8 plug, male, 4-pin, A-coded at one end and an open end at the other, and uses a PUR jacket with polypropylene wire insulation. The cable supports a rated voltage of 50 V AC or 60 V DC, can handle currents up to 4 amps at 40 degrees Celsius, and is shielded for electrical protection.
Internal Product Review
The ZK1090-3100-0150 is a Beckhoff motor cable with an M8 straight 4-pin A-coded plug and an open-end termination. Tinned copper conductors and a PUR jacket give this cable a well-engineered feel for dependable machine-side service. Shielding and insulation resistance of ≥100 GΩ make this an excellent choice for clean signal integrity and long-term reliability.

Product Description:
The ZK1090-3100-0150 motor cable is produced by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. As a pre-assembled hybrid lead, it routes power and communication between a servo drive and a motor or I/O box, reducing wiring effort in distributed motion systems. By integrating supply conductors with an Ethernet pair, the cable simplifies installation in industrial automation where compact cabling paths and deterministic real-time data transfer are required. It supports decentralized motion architectures that use combined power and data cabling.
Inside the sheath, seven power cores use a strand design of 19 x 0.1 mm tinned copper, a layout that balances flexibility with current-carrying capacity. At the drive side, the cable uses an M8 plug, straight, male, 4-pin, A-coded, while the motor end is left as an open pigtail for custom termination. The assembly also contains an Ethernet element with a cross-section of 1 x 4 x 0.14 mm² (AWG 26) for real-time fieldbus signaling across the full 15.00 m length. A PUR (polyurethane) outer jacket resists oil and abrasion, and the insulation system delivers an electrical resistance of ≥ 100 GΩ. The cable is shielded to limit electromagnetic interference.
For power transmission, the copper bundle supports 4 A at 40 °C, and the dielectric structure withstands system levels up to 50 V AC/60 V DC. The cable has an outer diameter of 5.4 mm ± 0.3 mm; when installed statically, the bend radius is four times this value, and when used in a drag chain, it is twenty times the diameter. Each core is insulated with polypropylene to minimize capacitance, and a braided shield is bonded to the drain conductor. The insulation withstands a test potential of 700 V without breakdown, which supports use in servo environments with repetitive motion and electrical noise.
