The ZK1000-0030 is a pre-assembled motor feedback cable produced by Beckhoff within the ZK Motor Cables series. It links a servo drive’s PC-side interface to the corresponding Bx adapter on the motor, carrying encoder and control signals without requiring on-site termination. In automation enclosures, the cable reduces wiring time and maintains signal integrity by matching pin positions end to end.
At the supplied length, the cable measures 3 m, so installations that place the drive rack within that distance of the motor can avoid excess coiling. On the motor side, a 9-pin connector mates with the Bx adapter and locks with screws for vibration resistance. The controller side terminates in a 9-pin socket that fits standard D-sub signal headers on Beckhoff IPC or servo modules. Internal conductors follow a 2→2, 3→3, 5→5 arrangement, keeping encoder power, data, and reference signals aligned straight through. Because every conductor is routed directly, the assembly uses 1:1 wiring, which simplifies pin-to-pin verification.
The molded housings support panel clearances and strain relief during installation. On the Bx side, the adapter height is 48.5 ±0.5 mm and the width is 50 ±0.5 mm, allowing the plug to sit beside neighboring power connectors without interference. The PC interface is narrower, with a listed width of 31 mm, so multiple cables can be arranged on high-density I/O brackets. For runs that exceed the supplied length, the route can be extended up to a maximum of 5 m before signal quality requirements call for an active repeater. The remaining enclosure dimensions, including 19 mm depth at the Bx end and 15 mm depth on the controller side, help cabinet doors close without bending the backshells, while any pins not assigned in the mapping remain reserved to help prevent miswiring.
