Product Description:

LC5200 is a bus coupler for DeviceNet. The coupler is a product of Beckhoff Automation. It is a cost-effective coupler suited to small stations. The compact design reduces space requirements. The coupler can handle 64 I/O terminals. The configuration interface provides an easy method for firmware updates. Power contacts on the device supply 24 Volts DC to the peripheral devices. If required, a power feed terminal can be used to provide electrical isolation. If a coupler becomes faulty, a coupler from the BK5120 series can be used as a replacement. The LC5200 can handle 256 digital inputs and outputs. It cannot handle analog I/O. The maximum number of bytes of input data is 32 and the number of bytes of output data is 32. The bus connection is directly via the spring-loaded terminal.

The power supply specifications are 24 Volts DC via the bus cable. The input voltage range is from 11 to 24 Volts. The typical input current is 70 milliamps and it can go up to 500 milliamps. The approximate inrush current is 2.5 times the continuous input current. The K-bus can provide power up to 500 milliamps. The power contact voltage specification is 24 volts DC and the current load is 10 Amps. The dielectric strength is 500 Volts. Beckhoff recommends using a safety fuse rated for up to 10 Amps. The LC5200 coupler mounts on 35 mm DIN rails that comply with EN 60715. Weight of the bus coupler is 100 grams. The specified data transfer medium is twisted pair copper (shielded) with energy supply. The connected cable length can go up to 100 meters. The maximum data transfer rate is 500 kbaud.
