Product Description:

Beckhoff's LC3100 is a compact bus coupler that connects digital I/O terminals to higher-level fieldbus systems.

It serves organizations through its Low Cost Bus Coupler status to enable cost-effective digital signal processing solutions for applications utilizing digital input and output terminals. Its digital-only specifications enable it to serve different automation applications that need digital bus usage. With its capability to work with up to 64 bus terminals, the LC3100 provides 256 digital input/output signals, making it appropriate for small to medium-sized system requirements. It does not support analog peripheral signals, which leads to easier configuration and minimizes the entire system complexity. Configuration of this module becomes possible either through the Beckhoff KS2000 software or directly from the controller, depending on what best fits the user system's needs. The module functions at high speed because it accepts communication speeds extending up to 12 Mbaud. The coupler allows up to 32 bytes to be transmitted simultaneously as inputs and outputs while maintaining a reliable data transmission speed.

An essential feature of the connector is the inclusion of spring-loaded terminals, which simplify and safeguard the connection process of the bus. The device uses 70 mA of input current and a one-fourth K-bus current up to a maximum of 200 mA. It needs a 24 VDC power source (tolerance -15% / +20%). This device provides up to 500 mA of power to the K-bus, enabling linked terminals to function dependably while in use. The recommended safety protection for this circuit demands a 10 A fuse. In addition to being lightweight, the K-bus coupler has an IP20-rated housing. The machine operates between 0°C and +55°C ambient temperatures. It can be purchased at Wake Industrial with a one-year warranty.
