The KS3002 bus terminal is employed for field bus communication to connect two analog input signals to a control system. Beckhoff serves as the manufacturer of this model and it specializes in developing embedded innovative systems for many electromechanical domains.
The KS3002 bus terminal is structured with a compact terminal housing featuring visible signal LEDs for monitoring. The terminal housing supports a plugging wiring which aids in simplifying connections and replacement without affecting the system. It is created from polycarbonate to offer stable working in standard environments. Its dimensions are 12 mm in width, 100 mm in height and 68 mm in depth by providing a space-saving profile suitable for tight installation areas. It has a type 35 mm DIN rail mounting in accordance with EN 60715 certification. Side-by-side mounting is made possible through a double slot and key connection which enables mechanical and electrical continuity between terminals. Its mapping follows specific word and byte arrangements under flexible conditions. It does not support complete evaluation or Motorola format and allows word alignment in any form. A screwdriver is used to maintain spring-actuated connectors for ferrule-ended wires, flexible conductors and solid conductors.
The KS3002 bus terminal works with several bus couplers default mapping protocols such as CANopen, CANCAL, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Modbus, RS232, and RS485. The two input channels work by providing power directly through the K-bus and reliable communication is maintained with less external wiring need. The terminal combines differential input technology for enhanced quality of signal and can handle signal levels between -10 and +10 volts. Its internal resistance is more than 200 kilo-ohms which assures that input circuits are not overloaded.
