Product Description:

The KS2408 is an input module designed for safe signal control in space-saving systems. It comes with 1-wire connection technology that is easy to wire and guarantees secure communication. The module comes fitted with eight outputs where every output can handle loads of varied nature like ohmic, inductive, and lamp loads. Its versatility allows it to be used in diverse control environments.

All channels can supply a maximum output current of 0.5 A and are short-circuit proof, and therefore the module is resistant to operation under abusive conditions. At short circuit, current is held below 2 A for protection of installed equipment. Breaking energy is held below 150 mJ per channel to minimize stress on switching elements and further extend operating life. The KS2408 comes with built-in reverse voltage protection, adding additional safety during power surges and wiring. It shields against reversal polarity damage due to accidental conditions. Power current drawn from power contacts is typically 60 mA with the additional load in switching, adding effective energy utilization without any waste of load, current. Current drawn from the K-bus is about 18 mA, making the module lightweight in terms of system resources. The above configuration is optimized for ultimate energy balance for high installation application. In the image of processing, there are 8 outputs through direct and unambiguous access per channel. It is maximized in module configuration for providing timely fault-tolerant servicing of outputs in high-speed control applications.

The KS2408 is particularly designed to modular systems involving automation to maximize rugged digital output control. With 0.5 A per channel output and internal short-circuit protection, it provides secure operations. Its compact size, power-saving function, and eight-channel design are appropriate for the highest input and output capability without any compromise on electrical safety and readability of operations.
