The KS1104 is a digital input module produced by Beckhoff within the KS Digital Input Modules series. This lets the control system monitor simple on and off conditions without analog conversion. It is intended for discrete sensing tasks rather than measurement signals that vary continuously.
The module accepts a nominal control voltage of 24 V DC and provides 4 inputs that occupy four bits in the process image. Field devices are wired through standard sensor connections, while integrated input filtering suppresses contact bounce during switching. Protective earth and auxiliary supply currents pass through power contacts rated for 10 A, and the front connectors are pluggable for easier wiring access.
