Beckhoff 's KL9512 is a Power source terminal designed to modify voltage in industrial automation systems. The terminal is compatible with Beckhoff Bus Terminal systems and can be mounted on a DIN rail, ensuring that field devices can adapt to variations in power in a reliable manner.
When a 24 V DC source is attached, the KL9512 power source terminal always gives off a 12 V DC voltage, with an error of ±1%. The terminal is safe to use because it has a short-circuit protection function and can send out up to 0.5 A of power. On an electrical level, the input and output are not different from one another. Power LEDs indicate whether or not it is operational, whereas an overcurrent LED indicates the problem. The terminal is packaged in a 2 mm-thick, 100 mm-wide, and 68 mm-deep plastic box. It weighs roughly 65 grams. A locking device that meets EN 60715 standards is used for mounting on a 35 mm DIN rail. It can handle shaking and shock, according to EN 60068-2-6 and EN 60068-227. Further, it meets the requirements of EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4 for EMC safety and emissions.
The KL9512 terminal can be used between 0°C and 55°C and kept between -25°C and +85°C. It has an IP20 rating and can be put together in several different ways.
