Product Description:
Beckhoff manufactures the KL9250 as part of the KL Analog Input Modules series. The device occupies only 12 mm of cabinet width and connects directly to the K-bus backbone, making it a compact component for decentralized control panels. Designed for machine and process installations, the module accepts line-supply power and passes power and field signals to subsequent terminals, supporting continuous data acquisition without separate wiring harnesses. In industrial automation environments, this arrangement reduces assembly time, simplifies maintenance, and preserves consistent signal quality across the I/O node.
The module includes one additional power contact that provides a dedicated path for high-current distribution alongside the standard signal conductors. Its housing measures 12 mm × 100 mm × 70 mm, so the module aligns with adjacent Beckhoff terminals without requiring spacers. Incoming mains power is connected at a nominal level of 120/230 V AC, and an internal fuse rated at 6.3 A limits fault energy to protect downstream wiring. For continuous loads, the terminal can conduct up to 10 A through its power contacts, allowing several analog input channels and peripheral sensors to share the same feed without exceeding thermal limits.
The module provides looped-through K-bus signals, maintaining backplane continuity with neighboring terminals. Its operating temperature ranges from 0 °C to 55 °C, which is suitable for the ambient conditions found inside most control cabinets. During storage, the device tolerates temperatures from -25 °C to 85 °C without performance degradation, allowing spare modules to be kept in unconditioned stockrooms. The module weighs only 55 g, making it easy to handle during field wiring and helping prevent dense terminal assemblies from overloading compact DIN-rail structures.
