KL9200 is a potential supply terminal from Beckhoff. It can be used to set up different voltage groups from a standard 24 Volts DC supply voltage. The terminal comes with an integrated safety fuse rated for 6.3 Amps. Current load capacity of the terminal is less than or equal to 10 Amps. A green colored LED provides terminal power status indication. A red colored LED provides terminal defect indication. The nominal operating voltage level is 24 Volts DC. Electrical isolation is available on the terminal. Electrical isolation is the process of separating two circuits or systems so that no direct electrical path exists between them, while still allowing transfer of energy or information. The main idea is to prevent unwanted current flow between parts of a system, protecting sensitive components and users from voltage spikes, ground loops, or electrical faults.
Isolation provides safety for users and equipment by preventing high-voltage faults from reaching low-voltage control systems or human-accessible interfaces. A protective earth connection is available on the front side of the device. Width of the KL9200 terminal housing is 12 millimeters and the device weighs 50 grams. The terminal is designed so that it can be mounted side by side with or without the power contact.
