Beckhoff Automation produces KL9187 as a power distribution terminal designed for use in modular I/O systems. Its role is to ensure that power is safely and effectively distributed to the terminals that requires it. The KL91 terminal receives full certification approval of CE, CCC, UL and comes with ATEX classification II to satisfy the necessary safety requirements for hazardous environments.
The KL9187 ES distribution terminal has dimensions of 12 mm width and 100 mm height and 68 mm depth while weighs 50 g in a body of polycarbonate material. The KL91 distribution terminal works on the standard TS35 DIN rails with a locking feature for stable attachment while a double slot with keyed connection ensure both alignment and stable mounting of terminals next to each other. All its KS models use pluggable wiring capabilities through spring-activated terminals that require a screwdriver to install wiring. The KL91 distribution terminal’s linking mechanism allows the connection of solid, flexible and ferrule conductors with cross-sectional area spanning between 0.08 mm² to 2.5 mm² and AWG28 to AWG14 scale while the wiring that needs to be connected should have its length trimmed between 8 mm and 9 mm.
The KL9187 ES distribution terminal offers eight 0 V connectors and operates at maximum 10 A current capacity which supports all nominal voltages up to 60 V DC. It maintains electrical separation which leads to steady operation with security features. The KL91 distribution terminal contains an integrated display of signal LEDs to show device status and the housing of 12 mm width has eight contact points for additional power connections to enable K-bus looping. It functions within -25°C to +60°C ambient thermal level and is available on Wake Industrial.
