Product Description:
The KL9184 distribution terminal is produced by Beckhoff and belongs to the KL Analog Input Modules series. This slice is used in industrial automation racks to route supply voltages and reference potentials to nearby I/O terminals, which helps organize power feeds without external jumper bars. By condensing eight positive and eight return lines into a narrow profile, it saves panel space while maintaining continuous K-bus communication across the terminal row. Its HD housing format follows Beckhoff’s high-density approach, so standard analog or digital slices can be grouped closely without sacrificing label space or tool access.
The terminal offers 16 connection points, arranged as eight positive and eight reference conductors. Their grouping as 8 x 24 V DC outputs distributes field power through the eight additional contacts. Internal bus bars connect each group to support the eight-contact arrangement. A continuous load of ≤ 10 A is supported, and the permitted supply level is ≤ 60 V DC. Installation on a 35 mm DIN rail secures the housing in a standard control cabinet layout.
The housing is molded from Polycarbonate, which provides electrical insulation with low weight. External size is 12 x 100 x 68 mm, and the face width is 12 mm, allowing dense terminal rows in compact assemblies. Neighboring modules lock together through the Double Slot And Key profile, which supports tool-free assembly and stable alignment. K-bus loop-through allows data and supply contacts to continue internally through the terminal row. The terminal can be placed to the left of a powered coupler, but it cannot be installed beside a section that carries no power. These placement rules help keep power distribution orderly along the rail.
