The KL8528 is an output module which is manufactured by Beckhoff. It is a well known digital output module that performs its functions effectively in industrial automation applications.

The KL8528 Output Module includes a manual switch with three selectable modes for flexible operation and diagnostics. It is a moderately lightweight module with a weight of only 160g. It requires a power supply of 24 volts and it uses a 20 pin shielded ribbon cable for input/output connections which help reduce electrical noise and make installation modular. It conforms to EN 61000-6-2/EN 61000-6-4 and ensures stable operation in noisy electrical conditions. It is rated to work in standard industrial temperature ranges from 0 to 55°C which makes it well suited for most factory conditions. Each of its output channels can supply up to 0.5 A, with a total output current limit of 2 A for the entire module. For its internal electronics it consumes 40 milli amperes from the K-bus. The KL8528 output module comes with 8 digital output channels which allows control of multiple devices from a single module.
