The single data transfer channel on the KL6821 is able to handle transfer rates as high as 1200 bauds, the estimated current consumption of this K-bus is also about 55 milliamperes. During operation, this product uses a nominal voltage supply of 24 volts with a deviation of up to 20 per cent allowed. The insulation voltage of the DALI-Bus/K-bus is estimated to be about 1500 volts of direct current while the maximum DALI power supply is 250 milliamperes>, although this can be turned off.
The KL6821 is equipped with some protective features to make its operation more durable. Its housing is made from strong polycarbonate material with high mechanical strength.
